Take part in an intensive week of authentic, funny, and culturally relevant conversations in Brazilian Portuguese.
You will pay for 5 guaranteed live classes and have the opportunity to join up to 5 additional conversation classes at no extra cost.

Speak Portuguese Every Day for One Intensive Week
Understanding Portuguese is one thing.
Using it naturally in a real conversation is another.
From August 10 to August 16, you will have access to an intensive schedule with 40 available class times, including weekdays and weekends.
You can choose the sessions that best fit your schedule and participate from anywhere in the world.
You may take one class per day, several classes during the weekend, or multiple conversations on the same day.
The goal is not to follow a rigid schedule.
The goal is to speak as much Portuguese as possible during one intensive week.

Unused classes cannot be transferred, postponed, or used as credit for another course.
Authentic Portuguese with Porta dos Fundos
For this challenge, we have selected 10 different sketches from Porta dos Fundos, one of Brazil’s best-known comedy channels.
Each sketch introduces a new conversation topic and gives you access to the Portuguese Brazilians actually use.
You will explore:

The objective is not simply to watch funny videos.
The objective is to understand the language, discuss the situations, express your opinions, and use new expressions in real conversations.

These are not artificial textbook conversations about ordering coffee or booking a hotel room.
Our discussions may include:

Each class is independent.

How Each Class Works
Before each session, you will receive:

explanations of slang

optional comprehension and discussion questions
You should watch the video before the class, but you do not need to understand everything.
The expressions, jokes, and cultural references that confuse you are exactly what we will explore during the conversation.
The supporting material can be studied before or after the session, depending on your time and learning goals.
Short, Focused Live Conversations
Each live class lasts 25-35 minutes.
The sessions are short enough to fit into a busy schedule and focused enough to give you meaningful speaking practice.
You can attend:

You will receive a Calendly link with the available days, times, and topics.
The calendar will automatically display the sessions in your local time zone.
You Will Have Time to Speak
Every session will maintain a maximum ratio of:
1 Brazilian teacher or facilitator for every 2 students
You will not be placed in a large group where you spend most of the class waiting for your turn.
You will have time to:

When more students attend the same session, additional teachers or facilitators may be added to maintain the promised ratio.

Do I have to attend all 10 classes?
No.
Your registration guarantees five classes. You may participate in up to five additional classes, depending on the remaining availability.
Are the five additional classes guaranteed?
No.
The five additional classes are bonus sessions and are subject to availability.
Your five paid classes are guaranteed, provided that you book them while suitable sessions are still available.
Can I reserve all 10 classes immediately?
You will first book your five guaranteed classes.
Bonus sessions will be released or made available according to the remaining spaces in the calendar.
Can I choose different class times?
Yes.
You can select different days and times from the 40 available sessions.
You do not need to attend at the same time every day.
Can I attend several classes on the same day?
Yes, provided that spaces are available.
How long is each class?
Each conversation lasts 25-35 minutes.
Will all classes have the same topic?
No.
We will have 10 different Porta dos Fundos sketches and conversation topics but you must check the topic before signing up – but I do recommend attending twice the same topic for more experience talking about the subject.
Do I need to watch the video before class?
Yes.
Watching the video before the session is important. You do not need to understand every word.
What level do I need?
The recommended level is A2 to C1.
The challenge is not recommended for complete beginners who cannot yet participate in a basic supported conversation.
Are the classes recorded?
No.
These are live, interactive conversation sessions. Recordings would interfere with the privacy and spontaneity of the participants.
Can I transfer unused classes to another course?
No.
All classes are valid exclusively from August 10 to August 16, 2026.
Is this course officially connected to Porta dos Fundos?
No.
