Welcome to The Brazilian Ways! By using our website and services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. General Conditions
These Terms of Service govern the use of our website, courses, and services. By purchasing or participating in any of our courses, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Live Online Classes
All our courses are delivered live and online. While we strive to ensure consistent delivery, technical issues, such as internet or power outages, may occasionally affect the classes. In such cases, the class may be canceled, and we will arrange a rescheduled session for the group at a later date.
3. Class Attendance and Participation
The student must attend classes on the date and time of the course they have purchased. If unable to attend, the student must notify the team in advance. The team will assess the possibility of rescheduling, depending on availability.
Regular attendance and completion of all recommended activities are crucial for the student’s progress in the course.
4. Legal Access to Materials
The student is responsible for legally obtaining the films and stories required for the course. This includes ensuring access through legal and available means, respecting copyright laws and regulations.
5. Respect and Behavior
The student must respect the teachers, fellow students, and human rights during all classes. Any behavior violating others’ rights, or intolerant actions, including discrimination or harassment, will not be tolerated and may result in the student being removed from the class and excluded from the course.
No form of intolerance, discrimination, or harassment based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, or any other form of prejudice will be tolerated.
6. Study Materials
Course materials will be available on the platform at least one week before the live class. Students are expected to review these materials prior to class to ensure they can fully engage with the content.
7. Time Zone Considerations
All our courses are scheduled based on New York Time (Eastern Time – ET). This includes adjustments for Daylight Saving Time (DST). If you are in a different time zone, you must adjust the class time accordingly.
For example, if a course is scheduled for 8:30 PM New York time and Daylight Saving Time begins, the time in New York remains 8:30 PM. However, you must adjust according to your local time zone.
8. Minimum Enrollment for Group Courses
For a group course to take place, a minimum of 3 students must be enrolled. If this minimum is not reached, the student will be given the following options:
- Switch to another class: The student can select a different session.
- Wait for the next course: The student can choose to wait for the next available session.
- Change course: The student can exchange for another course of similar value.
- Full refund: The student can request a full refund.
9. Payment and Subscription
The student agrees to provide accurate and up-to-date payment information when enrolling in the course. All payments are processed through third-party payment processors. By providing payment information, the student agrees to the terms and policies of the payment processor.
10. Content Ownership
All content provided through The Brazilian Ways, including but not limited to videos, course materials, and written content, is the property of The Brazilian Ways and is protected by intellectual property laws. Students agree not to copy, reproduce, or distribute any of the content without permission.
11. Refund Policy
We offer a fair and transparent refund policy:
- Full Refund: Available within 7 days from the purchase date if no more than one live class has been attended or 30% of the course content has been accessed.
- Partial Refund: Available if more than one live class has been attended or 30% of the content has been accessed, calculated based on the remaining portion of the course.
- No Refund: After 50% of the course has been completed or multiple live classes attended.
Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
13. Cancellation of Classes and Rescheduling
In rare cases of technical difficulties (e.g., internet or power outage), a class may be canceled. In this case, a rescheduled session will be arranged with the group at a later date.
14. Termination of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services if the student violates these terms or engages in behavior deemed inappropriate.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. By continuing to use our services, the student agrees to these changes.
16. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/State], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
